Il pensiero di Raimon Panikkar, basato su una metafisica e un’epistemologia fortemente originali, presta il fianco all’accusa di relativismo, a causa della nozione di ‘relatività radicale’, lessicalmente ambigua e di non immediata comprensione per una cultura, come quella occidentale, abituata a riflettere sullo sfondo dei concetti di oggettività, universalità, cosa in sé. Un equivoco su cui fare chiarezza, facendo emergere un pensiero che – agli antipodi del relativismo – fonda la struttura della verità e della realtà all’interno della relazione.

The thought of Raimon Panikkar, based on a highly original metaphysics and epistemology, opens the way to the charge of relativism, because of the notion of ‘radical relativity’, lexically ambiguous and not easy to understand in a culture, such as the western, used to reflect on the background of the concepts of objectivity, universality, thing in itself. A misunderstanding on which to clarify, bringing out a thought – the polar opposite of relativism – he founded the structure of truth and reality within the relationship.
