Filosofia e Teologia XXXIX, 2 (2025), Deus ex machina. Intelligenza naturale e intelligenza artificiale, pp. 287-304

Interactive Play: W. Benjamin and the Aesthetics of Childhood
The work investigates Benjamin’s perspective on the relationship between childhood and transformations of aesthetic perception in the modern era. The «second technique» evokes the creative mimesis typical of the childhood mode of experiencing the world, both in its dialectical relationship with ritual and myth, and in the ability to create a space of play as a field of action and freedom. By breaking down the world and reconfiguring it in ever new and unpredictable ways, the child inaugurates the messianic space of playful human interaction with the world, interrupting the historical continuum that grounds the myth of progress.
