Il monoteismo è stato in tempi recenti oggetto di un dibattito storico e concettuale. In questo saggio si prendono in esame i contributi di P. Sloterdijk, J. Assmann, J. Habermas e F. Jullien. Le prospettive sono diverse sia nell’analisi sia nella valutazione; tutte hanno in comune la comprensione della religione e del monoteismo come “visione del mondo”. È questa una prospettiva esauriente? Oppure è indispensabile comprendere il monoteismo in altro modo e all’interno dell’esperienza religiosa?

Monotheism in Question. Some Recent Debates
In recent times monotheism has been the subject of a conceptual and historical debate. This essay will take into consideration contributions by P. Sloterdijk, J. Assmann, J. Habermas and F. Jullien. Their perspectives are different both in analysis and in assessment; all of these have in common the comprehension of religion and monotheism as a "world-view". Is this an exhaustive perspective? Or do we need other approaches?
